Overview

Digital Dream Builders Program by Wise Up to Rise Up Foundation is a non-profit initiative dedicated to teaching website design to creative teenagers and young adults, particularly those in underserved populations. Our mission is to empower this demographic to build 'beyond standard' websites, create impactful campaigns for causes they care about, and initiate movements that make a difference in the world.

Our Programs:

Website Design Workshops: We offer workshops that teach teenagers and young adults how to design and build websites that go beyond the basics, providing them with marketable skills and encouraging creative expression.

Campaign Creation: Students learn to create campaigns for causes they are passionate about, fostering empathy and teaching them how to use technology for positive change.

Life Skills Education: Through website building, we teach valuable life skills such as problem-solving, resilience, time management, and the ability to accept and incorporate feedback.

Our mentor, Khristopher Fields, works closely with students, providing guidance and support as they navigate the world of website design and development. He emphasizes the application of website building principles to real-life situations, reinforcing the development of life skills.

Website Building Camp: Our camp offers immersive sessions, lasting 2-3 hours each, where students can fully engage in the website design process. We provide meals, networking opportunities, and lounge space for students to relax and connect with their peers.

S.T.E.A.M. Focus: We blend life skills education with S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) skills, with a particular emphasis on the arts, to provide a well-rounded learning experience.

Literacy Improvement: We make improving literacy fun through engaging activities and projects that are part of the website design and campaign creation process.

Partnership with Wix Education: We collaborate with Wix Education for our pilot program, ensuring that students have access to industry-standard tools and resources.
